Mario Marathon is an annual fund raiser for Child's Play Charity. As of June 24, 2014, the event has raised more than $500,000 during the seven years it has been running. In 2008, the event organizers also orchestrated a smaller Zelda marathon that managed to bring in an additional $2,477.00 for Child's Play Charity.
The Mario Marathon team plays the Super Mario video game series. Levels to be played are each unlocked at specific total donation levels, which the Mario Marathon team plays nonstop until either all the games are completed or until gameplay catches up to the current unlocked level.
This collection is an archive of the Mario Marathon 1 video from the original Ustream website. Some videos were no longer downloadable so this is not a complete recording.
It was found that a majority of the video from Ustream for Mario Marathon 1 was unusable. Unless a local copy can be obtained from the MM team, this may not be recoverable. I am leaving the torrent up for if anyone wants to try to recover the video files. For other Mario Marathon archives:
Nintendo owns the rights to the Mario franchise. This is just a group of gamers looking to spread information on the Childs Play charity and provide well needed support for children from hospitals around the world.
